What You'll Be Doing
CNC Machinists
- Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes and machining centres.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Machining components to tight tolerances.
- Conducting quality checks using precision measuring equipment.
- Maintaining a safe and organised work area.
Fitters & Turners
- Assembly, repair and overhaul of mining and industrial equipment.
- Strip, inspect and rebuild gearboxes, pumps, shafts and mechanical components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs to a high standard.
- Work both independently and within a team.
What We're Looking For
- Australian Trade Qualification (or recognised equivalent).
- Previous experience in a heavy engineering or mining environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Desirable
- Forklift License.
- Overhead Crane Ticket.
- Dogging or Rigging Tickets.
- Experience machining or repairing large mining equipment.
