About The Opportunity Business Review Group (BRG) is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracting Lead to support the SATCOM SPO – OBC SSB (Space) program. This is a key commercial leadership role responsible for developing and managing complex Defence procurement and contracting activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle.

This prospect is ideally suited to an experienced Defence Commercial professional with extensive Commonwealth procurement experience, strong ASDEFCON knowledge and demonstrated capability leading complex Request for Tender (RFT) processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop commercial contract documentation for SPA9102 contract components.
- Prepare, review and manage Statements of Work (SOW) and Services.
- Provide strategic commercial advice across the full contract lifecycle.
- Manage contract interpretation, variations, scope control and negotiations.
- Monitor contract performance, milestones and commercial deliverables.
- Identify, assess and manage commercial, contractual, financial and supply chain risks.
- Prepare commercial reporting and performance analysis.

Lead the End-to-End RFT Process Including
- Acting as Probity Manager.




- Developing and releasing the RFT documentation.
- Preparing the Tender Evaluation Plan.
- Developing the Draft Contract.
- Finalising the Statement of Requirements.
- Managing tender queries and issuing addenda.
- Supporting tender evaluations.
- Preparing the Source Evaluation Report.

- Leading contract negotiations including
- Negotiation Directive.
- Commercial negotiations.
- Negotiation Report.

Essential Experience

- Significant Defence Commercial and Procurement experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex Defence procurements.
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Defence procurement processes.
- Extensive experience preparing and managing ASDEFCON contract documentation.
- Experience managing large-scale RFT activities from planning through to contract award.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Experience providing strategic commercial advice and risk management.
- Excellent written communication and Defence documentation skills.
