As our national practice continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join our team. This is a role for an experienced lawyer who is capable of managing their own matters, maintaining strong client relationships, supervising support staff and working closely with senior partners on complex and strategic engagements.

While our client base has a strong presence in the real estate and property sectors, we are seeking a commercial lawyer first and foremost. Experience in property law, rent roll transactions, mergers and acquisitions or litigation will be highly regarded.

The Opportunity

This role offers genuine autonomy and responsibility. You will manage your own matters under the guidance and supervision of experienced partners, working directly with clients and taking ownership of transactions and legal projects from commencement to completion.

· Manage a diverse commercial practice with a high degree of independence.

· Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients.

· Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice.

· Maintain regular and proactive communication with clients.

· Manage transaction timelines and client expectations.





· Supervise and support administrative staff assigned to your matters.

· Work collaboratively with senior partners on strategic and complex matters.

· Contribute to the growth, development and ongoing improvement of the firm.

Key Areas of Practice

You will advise clients across a range of commercial matters, including:

· Commercial contracts and business agreements.

· Business acquisitions and disposals.

· Mergers and acquisitions.

· Sale and purchase of rent rolls and real estate agencies.

· Corporate structuring and governance.

· Shareholder agreements.

· Partnership and joint venture arrangements.

· Business succession and exit planning.

· Commercial leasing and property transactions.

· Regulatory compliance and risk management.

· Negotiation and settlement of commercial disputes.

· General commercial advice to business owners and executives.

Depending on your experience and interests, you may also have exposure to intellectual property, technology, privacy and emerging legal issues affecting the real estate industry.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

· Admission as an Australian Legal Practitioner.

· A current Australian practising certificate.

· At least 5 years' post-admission experience in commercial law.

· Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.

· Sound commercial judgement and problem-solving ability.

· Experience managing matters with appropriate autonomy.

· Confidence dealing directly with clients and key stakeholders.

· A commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organisational and matter management capabilities.

· The ability to supervise and support administrative staff.





· Experience reporting to clients regularly and managing client expectations.

· The ability to work collaboratively with senior lawyers and partners.
