Trico Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our growing NSW service team.
This is a varied field-based role working across commercial and retail facilities throughout metropolitan and regional NSW. The position involves reactive repairs, planned maintenance, equipment replacements and refrigeration upgrade projects.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include
- Attending commercial refrigeration breakdowns
- Fault finding and repairing refrigeration systems
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Servicing coolrooms, freezer rooms, display refrigeration and associated equipment
- Replacing compressors, evaporators, condensers, valves, controls and other components
- Refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging and commissioning
- Carrying out minor installation and upgrade works
- Completing service reports, asset information and job documentation
- Communicating professionally with customers and site representatives
- Participating in an after-hours roster where required
Regular travel throughout Sydney, regional NSW and the ACT will be required. Some early starts, overnight stays and occasional interstate travel may also be necessary. Accommodation and applicable travel expenses will be provided.
About You To be successful, you will have:
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
- Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Experience with commercial refrigeration systems
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience with coolrooms, freezer rooms and commercial condensing units
- The ability to work independently and manage your daily workload
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A professional, reliable and safety-focused attitude
- Flexibility to travel and work reasonable overtime when required
Experience with electronic expansion valves, digital scroll systems, controls and retail refrigeration equipment will be highly regarded.
