About The Role

D&E; Air is seeking a motivated and technically capable Commissioning Technician to join our growing Commissioning team. In this hands-on role, you will assist with the testing, balancing, commissioning, and optimisation of HVAC systems across a variety of commercial projects.

Working alongside Senior Commissioning Technicians, Project Teams, Consultants, and Clients, you will play a key role in ensuring HVAC systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform balancing and commissioning activities on commercial HVAC systems.
- Assist in testing, fault-finding, troubleshooting, and system optimisation.




- Work closely with Senior Commissioning Technicians to deliver commissioning programs and project milestones.
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with Australian Standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Complete commissioning reports, documentation, and progress tracking accurately and on time.
- Maintain strong communication with project teams regarding progress, risks, and technical issues.
- Support quality assurance processes and ensure commissioning works are completed to a high standard.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with SWMS, PPE requirements, and site safety procedures.

About You You are a proactive and detail-oriented HVAC skilled who enjoys solving technical challenges and working as part of a high-performing team. You are committed to safety, quality workmanship, and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients. You take pride in your work, have a strong willingness to learn, and are looking to further develop your commissioning expertise within a leading Australian HVAC contractor.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience within HVAC commissioning, balancing, mechanical services, or a related field.
- Sound understanding of HVAC systems and commissioning methodologies.




- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret project documentation and follow commissioning procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Understanding of Australian workplace regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
