Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
Degree or diploma qualification in communications, public relations or a similar discipline with relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with a substantial background in professional public relations or communications.
A commitment to professional communications practice to ensure internal and external stakeholders are well informed about Council decisions or developments.
Awareness of regional and associated local government issues.
Salary and Conditions The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $96,410 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
