Sapphire Smiles Dental is seeking a Casual Dental Assistant to join our friendly and professional team in Goonellabah.

Located in East Point Shopping Centre next to Chemist Warehouse, our modern, privately owned practice offers a welcoming atmosphere, high-quality patient care, and a strong team culture, with free onsite parking available.

This casual role offers up to 32 hours per week , Monday to Friday, with hours based on practice needs including leave cover and ongoing growth. Flexibility is essential.

What You'll Do

Dental Assistant:

- Chairside assistance for a range of general dental procedures
- Sterilisation and infection control in line with current guidelines
- Setting up, packing down, and maintaining treatment rooms to a high standard




- Assisting with patient preparation and post‑treatment care
- Greet patients and provide a warm, professional contact
- occasional appointment bookings, recalls, and confirmations
- occasional Process payments, health fund claims, and general enquiries
- Answer phones and handle patient communications with confidence
- Support smooth daily practice operations

What You'll Bring

- Minimum 6 months experience as a Dental Assistant (Australian experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Friendly, skilled, and patient‑focused attitude
- Confidence using dental software (DENTALLY experience highly regarded)
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting highly regarded
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technology
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
