This is a newly-created role to bring professional events capability in-house. This national non-profit organisation supports a community of highly accomplished members, patient-focused best practice and national and international health policy.

**While this is a remote working role, we’re looking for someone who lives within proximity of the Gold Coast or Brisbane.

**Travel to events and meetings in Australian capital cities is part of this role, a few times per year.

About this opportunity

Working with the General Manager, you will take ownership of a calendar of in-person and online events including major conferences, workshops, webinars and educational events; managing every stage from planning through to delivery, evaluation and reporting.

You’ll look after every aspect of events from planning, budget management, venue and supplier management and speaker coordination through to EventsAir administration, content management, registrations and marketing.





Key responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end planning, coordination and delivery of an annual events program.

- Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, timelines and programming.

- Manage event budgets, expenses and financial administration.

- Plan and coordinate event agendas including speakers, chairs, presentation topics and special activities.

- Manage relationships with members, suppliers, venues, speakers and other event partners; leading all event-related communications and meetings.

- Manage venue and supplier sourcing, contracts and performance, including deliverables and budgets.

- Manage the entire event registration process.

- Develop event communication plans including messaging, content calendar, marketing.

- Coordinate all logistics including accommodation, travel, catering, venue setup, audiovisual requirements and onsite operations.

- Prepare operational documentation including project plans, run sheets, event resources and post-event reporting.

- Build and manage EventsAir registration sites and associated event technology, including event websites, apps and digital platforms.

- Ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for delegates.

- Evaluate events and identify opportunities to improve future event delivery.

- Oversee technical event delivery including platforms,



integration, and support.

About you

You are an experienced, proactive and highly-accountable event manager with a positive attitude and a collaborative working style.

You have a background managing large-scale conferences and business events and a mature, pragmatic approach.

You can work independently, contribute strategically and have a genuine interest in continually improving events, processes and member experience.

We’d love you to bring

- at least 5 years’ experience in events management including large-scale conferences
- current, hands-on experience using EventsAir to manage complex conferences
- strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
- excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- strong financial and commercial acumen
- experience working confidently and diplomatically with diverse stakeholders
- ability to work independently and with initiative
- a growth mindset and solid ability to problem solve
- exceptional attention to detail
- experience working in a PCO team would be beneficial.
