THE ROLE:
With established offices across multiple Australian capital cities and regional areas, this group leverages strong repeat relationships with a plethora of institutional blue-chip clients, ensuring a strong work pipeline through 2030 - $2b work in hand for 2026. These relationships have resulted in the delivery of more than 8000 projects nationally, with a combined value of $40b+.
Working under the leadership of the group's Construction Director and Senior Project Manager, you will have end-to-end involvement in the delivery of projects, undertaking the associated procurement, contract management, and financial management processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, trade comparisons/recommendations, and all procurement functions.
- Ongoing management of all project contractual functions, as well as preparation and assessment of variations, claims, and EOT's.
- Tracking and ongoing assessment of budgets, financial forecasting,
invoices, and progress claims.
- Support the Project Manager and Site Manager to determine and communicate an effective request for information (RFI) management process with subcontractors.
- Develop budget targets identifying key risks and opportunities for best commercial outcomes in consultation with the Project Manager.
- Assist in preparing all required reports for monthly project report meetings, proactively advise of any current risks, opportunities or changes, and participate in strategic discussion.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture.
- Experience overseeing the relevant procurement, contract management, and financial management functions, ideally on multi-residential development projects.
- Experience reviewing, negotiating, and executing Subcontracts and Head Contracts, coordinating directly with clients, contractors, and consultants, coordinating with external legal counsel during disputes to achieve resolution.
- Strong contractual and financial focus is essential.
