Cook / Chef – The Palms, Tocumwal The Palms Hotel in Tocumwal is looking for an energetic and reliable Cook or Chef to join our passionate kitchen team.

About the Role

Working alongside our experienced kitchen brigade, you will help deliver consistently high-quality meals and memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with recipes and venue standards

- Assisting senior chefs with daily mise en place and service preparation

- Ensuring meals are prepared and served promptly during busy service periods

- Maintaining consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control

- Supporting stock rotation and responsible ingredient use

- Helping reduce food waste and supporting the venue’s sustainability initiatives

- Maintaining a clean, organised and protected kitchen

- Following all food safety, hygiene, HACCP and workplace health and safety requirements

- Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

About You

We are looking for someone who has:





- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
- A genuine passion for food and quality presentation
- The ability to work efficiently and autonomously in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to follow recipes, instructions and venue procedures

- Excellent attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Reliability and a strong work ethic

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and busy holiday periods

A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is preferred but not essential. Applications are welcomed from experienced cooks who can demonstrate the right skills, attitude and passion for hospitality.
