This role is suited to an experienced Cook with a passion for Italian cuisine who takes pride in preparing, seasoning and cooking quality meals, presenting dishes to a consistently high standard, maintaining food safety and hygiene requirements, and contributing to the efficient operation of a rapid-paced commercial kitchen.

responsibilities Prepare, season and cook authentic Italian dishes Portion, plate and present meals to a high standard Assist with food preparation and kitchen operations Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas Follow food safety,
hygiene and workplace safety procedures Store food correctly and rotate stock Assist with stock control and report shortages Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely service Qualification &
experience AQF Certificate III with at least two years of relevant on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent), or at least three years of relevant commercial cooking experience. Demonstrated experience preparing and cooking food in a commercial kitchen, preferably with Italian cuisine.
