As we continue to grow across the Newcastle and Hunter Region, we're looking for an experienced Building Designer to join our team in Boolaroo.

The Role

As a Building Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping one of the most important parts of the client journey.

Working closely with our Sales, Estimating and Construction teams, you'll transform client ideas into practical, buildable and inspiring homes that balance design, functionality, compliance and construction efficiency.

You'll help deliver homes that not only look great on paper but create lasting value for the families who live in them.

What You'll Be Doing

- Designing custom and project homes that reflect our clients' lifestyles, aspirations and budgets.

- Creating concept, working and construction drawings in Archicad.

- Work closely in communication with our sales team to interpret client brief from sales leads.

- Developing site specific design solutions for sloping sites, difficult blocks and planning constraints.

- Ensuring designs comply with the NCC, Australian Standards, council requirements and planning controls.

- Applying contour surveys,



RLs, cut and fill requirements and site data accurately.

- Collaborating closely with our Estimating and Construction teams to ensure designs remain practical and cost effective.

- Incorporating client variations and consultant recommendations throughout the design process.

- Identifying opportunities to improve home designs, construction detailing and client outcomes.

- Helping deliver a seamless experience as part of our core values.

About You

You're more than a draftsperson.

You're someone who understands the impact great design can have on everyday living and enjoys solving problems while keeping the client's vision at the centre of every decision.

You'll bring:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in residential building design or drafting.

- Strong proficiency in Archicad.

- Sound knowledge of residential construction methods and detailing.

- Understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards, BASIX requirements and approval pathways.

- Experience designing custom homes and adapting designs to suit unique sites.

- Robust and open communication and collaboration skills.

- A solution focused mindset and passion for continuous improvement.

- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
