At Icon, successful projects are built on outstanding planning. We're looking for a Planning Coordinator to join our project delivery team and support the planning, programming and reporting of major construction projects across Australia and New Zealand.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in project planning, working alongside experienced Construction Managers, Project Managers and Planners while gaining exposure to some of the industry's most complex and rewarding projects.

The Opportunity

As Planning Coordinator, you'll support the development, coordination and monitoring of construction programmes throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with project delivery teams, you'll assist with programme updates, progress reporting, schedule analysis and planning activities that help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

This is a collaborative role suited to someone who enjoys working with project teams, analysing information and contributing to successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in developing and maintaining construction programmes and project schedules
- Update project programmes to reflect site progress and changing project requirements
- Coordinate planning information from project teams, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor project progress against key milestones and identify potential programme risks or delays
- Prepare look-ahead programmes, progress reports and schedule updates
- Assist with programme reviews and support recovery planning where required
- Support construction sequencing, staging plans and procurement activities




- Maintain accurate programme records and planning documentation
- Assist with extension of time assessments and programme-related reporting
- Promote consistent planning standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

About You

- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
- Previous experience in project coordination, planning, project controls or construction administration, or a graduate looking to step into planning
- Experience using Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar planning software is highly regarded
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator who enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in construction planning and project delivery
