The Company Highbury Executive has been engaged by a PE backed business, looking for a Corporate Development Manager as they prepare the business for an exit.

They are seeking a commercially astute and analytically driven finance skilled to take on a high impact role supporting the business as it approaches exit. The role will include exit readiness work, and dealing the financial sponsor, financial due diligence professionals and the CFO.

This is an interim engagement, expected to run for approximately 3 months, based on-site in Sydney. Day rate circa $1,200 (exc. GST).

Responsibilities

- Lead meetings with Financial Due Diligence providers, and answer any questions from Transaction Services teams as the business goes through a transaction.
- Deliver executive level financial insight, present strategic analysis and recommendations directly to C-suite and board stakeholders, translating complex data into clear and actionable direction.
- Drive multi year financial planning and business forecasts, develop and maintain sophisticated financial models that underpin the valuation as the business goes through a sale process.
- Partner across the business and beyond, extracting key information for the parties involved to ensure smooth due diligence process.





Requirements

- 5+ years’ experience across transaction services, strategy consulting, corporate finance, or M&A.;
- Prior experience supporting a PE-backed sale process (vendor due diligence, dataroom management, financial sponsor reporting) highly regarded.
- Strong financial modelling, advanced Excel, integrated financial statements, valuation techniques, and scenario planning.
- Relevant postgraduate credentials (CA, CPA, CFA, or comparable qualification).
- Commercially driven, a natural ability to translate numbers into narrative and financial analysis into business strategy.
- Polished communicator, experienced engaging and influencing at the most senior levels, including executive teams and boards.
- Available to start on short notice.
