We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cost Controller to join our mining team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects and operations as a group to achieve strategic objectives of the department.

This role is for a top tier miner & are to start September based in Perth but must be open to FIFO (5/2, 4,3 roster). The central projects are all related to Track Renewals Project Management and Rail Execution.

Key responsibilities

- Raise PR's to support Projects and Execution team
- Timepro owner (labour cost allocation software) ensuring disciplines are kept in timesheet completion and accuracy.
- Prepare monthly accruals workbooks for Projects team within tight turnaround times at month end and post accruals, analysing monthly performance of actuals versus forecast.
- Prepare monthly forecast workbooks for Projects team within tight turnaround times critically analysing forecasts for achievability.
- Prepare monthly journals and maintain cost registers.
- Reviews and verifies labour timesheet claims prior to invoice approval.
- Support to portfolio lead with the Capital and Operational Portfolio of projects
- Support project managers and engineers with Monthly Project Reviews
- Collaboration with Project Managers and Project Engineers to support on‐budget and on schedule delivery of projects




- Month end reporting related tasks
- Delivers improvement and automation of current processes and control spreadsheets
- Conduct project close out activities, including Financial Close out Request (FCOR)

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
- Qualified qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA) either completion or currently pursuing will be an added advantage
- Current full Western Australian "C" class motor vehicle license.

Skills:

- Proven commitment to safety.
- Extensive SAP experience
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
