About the Role The Customer Experience Officer delivers professional, responsive and customer-focused service to residents, ratepayers, visitors and internal stakeholders. As a key member of the Customer Contact Centre team, the role manages enquiries across phone, email, online and face-to-face channels, ensuring customer requests are resolved efficiently and accurately.
The position is responsible for processing customer transactions, service requests and applications, receipting and reconciling payments, maintaining accurate records and supporting customers to access Council services. Working collaboratively across the organisation, the role contributes to service improvements, supports operational continuity and helps deliver a consistent, high-quality customer
About you
We’re seeking an experienced customer service professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to delivering positive customer experiences. You are organised,
detail-oriented and able to manage a variety of enquiries while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
Confident using technology and customer management systems, you work well in a team setting and are comfortable handling challenging customer interactions with empathy and sound judgement. You are adaptable, keen to learn and committed to continuous improvement and service excellence.

Salary and Benefits: Starting from Level 3 Step 1 – Step 4 ($40.47 - $43.24 p/time hourly rate, plus casual loading for casual roles) of the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.
