Business Unit Overview

iCAUR, created by Chery is a is an accessible premium BEV & REEV SUV brand which

launched globally at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2025.

iCAUR is designed for drivers who want design, technology, and a premium ownership

experience with the ability to accessories and make it their own.

With a Q2 2027 Australian and Recent Zealand market launch, the brand occupies a genuine

white space — above the volume Chinese entrants, below the traditional luxury set —

anchored by the "Born to Play" brand spirit and powered by REEV technology that removes

the last barrier to going electric.

Position Overview

The PR & Communications Specialist is responsible for building and protecting iCAUR's

public profile in Australia, leading media relations and communications activity as an

ongoing function of the business.

As one of the earliest hires in the marketing team, this role will define how iCAUR speaks to

the public and media from first contact through to an established, permanent presence in

market — spanning proactive media relations,



brand announcements and influencer

partnerships.

Reporting to the National Marketing Manager, the role combines strategic communications

counsel with hands‑on media and influencer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the lead point of contact for media relations, building and maintaining relationships across automotive, business and lifestyle media
- Develop and execute the PR and communications strategy, including brand announcements, media moments and ongoing narrative management
- Manage the press and media fleet programme, including vehicle loans, embargoes and
- Build and manage the influencer programme, identifying and partnering with talent aligned to iCAUR's audiences and brand platform
- Draft and oversee media materials — press releases, statements, media kits and Q&As; — ensuring messaging is consistent with brand and product narratives
- Lead crisis and issues management, preparing holding statements and response protocols to protect brand reputation
- Manage PR and communications agency partners, briefing and overseeing delivery of earned media outcomes
- Track media coverage and sentiment, reporting on PR performance and refining strategy accordingly

Requirements

We're looking for someone with strong media relations and communications experience gained within the automotive industry, or alternatively within premium consumer goods or

lifestyle brands, who can build credible relationships with media and manage brand

reputation with confidence.

Experience working within an international or global company structure is a plus, given the

potential to work with HQ and cross-market stakeholders.

- Solid Australian media landscape experience, with existing relationships across automotive, business and lifestyle media
- Experience managing influencer partnerships and programmes
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to translate technical product information into
- Experience managing PR agencies and crisis or issues communications
- A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations or a related field
