? Daily Rate: $750 – $850 / day + super

? Contract Duration: 7 Months (31 Aug 2026 – 31 Mar 2027)

? Work Model: Hybrid (50% On-site / 50% WFH)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DataStage Developer to support a major platform upgrade and modernisation initiative within a large-scale enterprise environment in Brisbane.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in upgrading, maintaining, and supporting the organisation’s IBM DataStage environment while helping migrate and modernise core data integration workloads across complex enterprise databases.

Key Responsibilities

- Platform Upgrade & Modernisation: Support the upgrade of IBM DataStage across a large-scale enterprise ecosystem.
- ETL Engineering: Analyse, design, build, test, and deploy robust DataStage jobs, sequences, and workflows.
- Support & Maintenance: Troubleshoot complex production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and maintain ETL data pipelines.
- Operations & Delivery: Participate in Agile sprint delivery, backlog refinement, release management, and change deployments.
- Documentation: Create clear technical documentation, support procedures, and deployment runbooks.

What We Are Looking For

- IBM DataStage Expertise:



Demonstrated experience working with IBM DataStage 8.7 or later in an enterprise setting.
- Upgrade / Migration Proven Track Record: Hands-on experience delivering DataStage platform upgrades, migrations, or modernisation projects.
- Database & SQL Mastery: Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in Oracle, SQL Server , or other enterprise RDBMS platforms.
- Job Scheduling: Familiarity with enterprise scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M ).
- Data Warehousing Foundations: Solid understanding of data modelling, data integration concepts, and ITIL practices (incident/change management).
- Communication & Agile: Strong verbal/written communication skills and comfort working within an Agile team environment.
