Rosewood State High School is seeking an experienced and strategic Deputy Principal - Special Education to join our executive leadership team. This pivotal role provides leadership across inclusive education, senior secondary pathways and whole-school improvement, ensuring every student is supported to achieve success from Year 7 through to graduation. This is a temporary full-time position until 25 March 2027, unless otherwise determined.

The Deputy

Principal - Inclusion and Senior Schooling will lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including Heads of Department, Coaches, teacher aides and specialist staff, to strengthen inclusive practices across the school. The role also provides strategic leadership of Senior Schooling, ensuring students successfully transition to further education, training or employment through quality QCE, ATAR, QCIA and vocational pathways.

About The Role Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Lead the school's inclusive education agenda by ensuring equitable access,



participation and achievement for students with diverse learning needs through high-quality inclusive practices.

Provide strategic leadership of Senior Schooling (Years 10-12), including QCE attainment, ATAR, vocational education and training (VET), school-based apprenticeships and traineeships (SATs), and successful post-school transitions.

Lead case management processes for students requiring targeted and intensive support, working collaboratively with families, external agencies and multidisciplinary teams.

Build the capability of staff to implement evidence-informed inclusive practices, reasonable adjustments and differentiated teaching that improves student engagement, wellbeing and achievement.

Monitor, analyse and respond to student achievement, engagement, attendance and wellbeing data to drive continuous improvement and successful outcomes for all students.

Strengthen partnerships with parents, carers, tertiary providers, employers, training organisations, community agencies and regional services to expand pathways and support successful student transitions.

Support the Principal in implementing the school's strategic priorities, fostering a high-expectations culture and contributing to whole-school improvement through collaborative leadership.
