The Role In this role you will support the delivery of Design and Technology programs by preparing classrooms and workshops, and associated learning spaces, ensuring equipment, materials, and learning spaces are ready for effective teaching. Working closely with teachers, you’ll assist during lessons and demonstrations, and design and construct teaching aids that align with curriculum requirements. The role includes maintaining, assessing, and repairing technical equipment, as well as coordinating external servicing when needed.
You’ll assist with ordering supplies, liaising with suppliers, and managing stock, including supporting stocktake activities to ensure resources are well maintained. A strong focus on safety would be highly regarded, including providing advice on the safe use, storage, and disposal of equipment and materials, and maintaining accurate documentation in line with work health and safety requirements. Within our local context, the successful applicant may also provide operational support in shared specialist learning environments within the Arts and Technologies learning area where appropriate.
