We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering innovative and practical AV solutions for our customers. You’ll be responsible for developing technical designs and documentation, undertaking engineering calculations, researching and implementing new technologies, and providing technical support across project delivery, installation and commissioning. In this role you’ll work closely with Sales, Project and Technical teams to develop tailored solutions, while ensuring designs meet customer requirements and relevant engineering standards.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong AV, audio, video and control systems knowledge, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams. As a Design Engineer, your duties will include:

Providing technical solutions that meet the customer’s functional requirements.

Identifying service requirements to support a successful AV implementation.

Development of design documentation through the drafting team, including design sketches, markup of changes and review.

Undertaking engineering calculations including but not limited to heat loads, spatial allowances, mechanical loading, power consumption, signal loss, coverage and bandwidth.

being responsible for researching and implementing new technologies managing project documents and writing technical documentation such as operational manuals and commissioning procedures.

be involved in designing customized mounting hardware and brackets for audio visual equipment

Engaging with external organisations for engineering certification where required.

providing technical support to the installation and project departments assisting the Sales department with product knowledge and design solutions that provide Diversified a competitive edge.

Ideal

Candidate profile

Extensive knowledge of video, audio and control systems

Strong knowledge for Microsoft Office,



particularly Word and Excel.

Experience with AutoCAD; line diagrams and layouts

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering – Electronics, Telecommunications or similar is desirable

ICT / Network Infrastructure background desirable

Self-driven with valuable time management and prioritising skills

Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical staff

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Solid Team player

Current valid Driver’s License and Personal Vehicle (preferable)

Must hold an Australian Citizenship, to be able to access Secure Agency sites and material

Previous experience in the field as a commissioner, audio engineer, technician or other relevant experience. Company information
