About the role
The Manager, Data Products & Analytics is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing enterprise data products that enable trusted reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across Housing Australia. Leading a small team of data professionals, the role works closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable, governed, and reusable data solutions across the Microsoft data platform ecosystem. This role is instrumental in building Housing Australia's data product capability, driving the transition from ad hoc reporting to enterprise data products that deliver meaningful insights and lasting business value.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise data products , defining priorities, roadmaps, success measures, and delivery outcomes that support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions, managing demand, prioritisation, and the delivery of reusable, value-driven data products.
- Drive data governance and standardisation , ensuring data products are built on trusted enterprise data sources, aligned to agreed business definitions, and designed for consistency, automation, and reuse.
- Lead adoption and continuous improvement of data products , collaborating with data and analytics teams to maximise business value,
monitor product performance, and develop the capability of a small team of analysts.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in data product, analytics, business intelligence, or data delivery roles , with the ability to translate business needs into scalable, value-driven data solutions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and demand management capability , including prioritising competing requirements and delivering outcomes in complex organisational environments.
- Solid technical understanding of contemporary data platforms , including SQL, data modelling, data pipelines, analytics delivery, and enterprise data governance principles.
- Experience working with product-based delivery approaches , driving the adoption, usage, and ongoing improvement of data products and analytics capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and people development skills , with experience coaching analysts or data professionals and working effectively across business and technical teams.
- Relevant qualifications in Data Analytics, Technology, Business, Economics , or a related discipline, together with 5+ years' experience in analytics, business intelligence, data product, or related roles, are highly regarded.
