Our client is a Large Government organisation who are seeking a Digital Content Writer to join their team in Canberra, ACT.

As the Digital Content Writer, you will plan, develop and deliver clear, accessible and user-focused content and communication materials for the Revenue Office.

Using an audience-first approach, you will ensure content is accurate and aligned with the style guidelines, and relevant accessibility and readability standards. You will apply your experience in digital content, plain language and accessibility to improve how the Office communicates complex information, so it is easy to understand and use.

Reporting to the Director, Change Management, you will work as part of a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team operating in an agile project environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Write, structure and format website content using research, data, user insights, and accessibility standards, and best practice content design principles.

- Translate legislation, policies and technical concepts into plain language content, guidance materials,



and educational resources that support user understanding.

- Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to develop, improve and maintain accurate content, ensuring information meets user needs.

Selection Criteria:

- Strong written communication and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical, legislative or business information into transparent, concise and plain language content for diverse audiences.

- Experience writing and designing content for government or other highly regulated environments, with an understanding of public sector communication requirements and accessibility obligations is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated skills in contemporary content design practices to develop user-centred website content, including applying user insights to support continuous improvement.
