Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

We are seeking an outstanding educational leader to join our Middle Academy team as Director of Student Development (Stage 5), with responsibility for the wellbeing, development and pastoral leadership of students in Years 9 and 10.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the experiences of students during a significant stage of adolescence, fostering resilience, leadership, wellbeing and purpose while working within a collaborative and innovative learning environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

- Lead the development and delivery of mentoring and wellbeing programs aligned to the Knox Total Fitness model and Knox Graduate Profile
- Champion student voice, leadership, service learning and experiential education opportunities.
- Provide expert guidance and case management support for students experiencing wellbeing and mental health challenges.
- Collaborate closely with academic, wellbeing and diverse learning teams to support student success.
- Use data and contemporary research to identify emerging student needs and develop proactive wellbeing strategies.
- Build the capability of Team Leaders and Mentors through coaching, professional learning and pastoral leadership.
- Strengthen relationships with families,



staff and external organisations to support student growth and development.
- Contribute to camps, service learning programs and other transformative experiences that enrich student life.

About You You are an experienced and passionate educator who understands the unique developmental needs of adolescents and is committed to helping young people flourish.

You will bring

- Demonstrated leadership experience in student wellbeing and pastoral care
- A strong understanding of adolescent development and contemporary wellbeing practices.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, families and colleagues.
- Experience supporting students with complex wellbeing, attendance or engagement needs.
- Excellent communication, organisational and case management skills.
- A commitment to student voice, leadership development and holistic education.
