HealthX is recruiting Personal Care Assistants (PCA'S) for casual opportunities across community care services in the Toowoomba region, QLD.
This role is ideal for nursing students who have completed at least one clinical placement, preferably in a hospital setting, and are seeking flexible work while gaining hands‑on health care experience.

About the Role

As an Personal Care Worker, you will support Registered and Enrolled Nurses in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care in the community.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Provide direct patient care under clinical supervision
- Support mobility, transfers, and basic clinical procedures
- Maintain patient dignity, comfort, and safety at all times
- Follow clinical protocols, infection control standards, and documentation requirements
- be comfortable escalating concerns appropriately





About You - What We're Looking For

- Availability to work on a casual basis (minimum 3‑hour shifts)
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including night shifts
- Certificate III in Health and/or Aged Care, OR
- Currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing or another relevant health degree
- Ability to work across multiple clinical disciplines
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team‑focused approach
