Nurse Unit Manager (Lvl 2) - Healthy Kids and Families - Perm FT

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, family-centred care and a proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams in a community health setting. They will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of fostering collaboration with families, staff, and healthcare partners. With a focus on quality, safety, service improvement, and workforce development, they will be confident managing clinical, operational, human, and financial resources while creating a positive and supportive team culture. Most importantly, they will be driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in the health and wellbeing of children and families across the community.

Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant tertiary qualifications in Child and family Health Nursing with relevant work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
- Demonstrated senior nursing experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.
- Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the unit are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included)



from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
