About us

Tully Support Centre Inc. (TSC) is a respected, community-based organisation committed to delivering quality, flexible and responsive services to individuals and families across the Cassowary Coast. We provide counselling, advocacy, referrals, and community development initiatives to support those impacted by Domestic and Family Violence (DFV).

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Adult DFV counsellor to join our Cassowary Coast Domestic and Family Violence (CCDFV) service. In this role, you will provide trauma-informed counselling, case management, advocacy and practical support to women and their children affected by DFV.

Your work will include

- Delivering evidence-based, structured therapeutic counselling and support (face-to-face, outreach and phone-based).

- Undertaking risk assessments, safety planning and developing support plans in accordance with agreed frameworks and principles.

- Assisting with Domestic Violence Order applications and court support.

- Collaborating with families and service providers to ensure holistic care.

- Contributing to community awareness and prevention initiatives.





This is a dynamic role where you will make a real impact in breaking the cycle of DFV and supporting recovery.

What you’ll bring – Selection criteria

- A relevant Counselling qualification (essential) and membership with a relevant professional association.

- Proven experience providing evidenced-based counselling and case management for women and children affected by DFV.

- Knowledge of DFV risk assessment, safety planning and court processes including experience or extensive knowledge of the QLD Government frameworks.

- Demonstrated knowledge of Child Safe Organisation requirements in QLD.

- Highly developed communication skills and ability to work with diverse communities and young people.

- Proven ability to manage a case load with competing demands.

- Current Driver’s licence, blue card, and willingness to obtain a police check immediately prior to commencing in the role.
