Duty Manager – Luxury Eco Retreat (6-Month Contract)

Little Beach Co Retreat is an award-winning luxury eco-retreat located on Tasmania's spectacular East Coast. Set across 22 acres of pristine coastal landscape, the property features 22 luxury accommodation offerings, including Ocean View Hot Tub Villas, the iconic Rockpool Residence (followed by Grand Designs Australia in 2019) and a boutique glamping village, complemented by an on-site restaurant, wellness experiences and grand event facilities.

With significant expansion underway, including current accommodation and a purpose-built wedding and events pavilion, Little Beach Co Retreat is entering an exciting phase of growth, making this an outstanding opportunity to join one of Tasmania's leading boutique tourism businesses.

We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract with a future potential.

The Role

As Duty Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the retreat, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service while supporting our small, close-knit team, across all areas of the business.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives on variety, leads by example,



and is physically fit and comfortable working across all areas of the retreat. Applicants should expect an active role, with a walking score on average of 5,000 steps per day.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing daily resort operations and guest services
- Supervising and supporting housekeeping and food & beverage operations & rosters
- Assisting with breakfast and kitchen service when required
- Managing guest enquiries, communications & problem resolution in a professional and courteous manner
- Exceed customers expectations
- Coordinating arrivals, departures and daily operational tasks
- Maintaining the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness and hospitality
- Managing the channels, ITA’s and OTA’s along with boutique operators
- Supporting special events and functions where required
- On call after hours to respond to guest emergencies and other
- Be proactive and assist other managers in the on-going development and construction of Yoga/Pilates/events space, agri -tourism initiatives and other growth opportunities

About You To be successful, you will have:

- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Duty Manager within the hospitality industry
- Previous experience working in kitchens or food service operations




- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed
- Current Australian working rights
- Current Driver's Licence (preferred)

Working Conditions: The role is a salaried position working 5 days a week, and on-call after hours

On-site accommodation, internet and some meals.

What We Offer

- 6-month fixed-term contract
- Salaried position of up to $100,000 per annum (pro rata for the contract term)
- On-site accommodation provided, but you may reside off property if you wish
