EAM Architect – SAP S/4 HANA

About the Client:

Our client is a leading organisation undertaking a major enterprise transformation initiative to modernise its asset and service management capabilities. The program focuses on transitioning legacy work management systems to a modern SAP S/4HANA platform, supporting operational excellence, scalability, and future business growth.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced EAM Architect to lead the assessment, solution architecture, and transformation planning activities for a large-scale Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) program.

This role will be responsible for evaluating current-state business processes and systems, defining future-state capabilities, and developing scalable SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Asset Management and Service Management solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the transformation roadmap and implementation approach.

Experience Required:

- Lead the functional and technical assessment of existing work management solutions.
- Analyse current business processes and conduct fit-gap assessments against SAP S/4HANA EAM and Service Management capabilities.
- Design scalable SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Asset Management and Service Management solutions aligned to business objectives.
- Define solution scope, architecture, and implementation approaches for SAP transformation initiatives.
- Develop migration strategies and implementation roadmaps for transitioning business processes and service contracts into SAP.
- Prepare detailed migration plans including activities, dependencies, timelines, resourcing requirements, and cost estimates.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather operational, maintenance, and service management requirements.
- Design and optimise work management, maintenance,



and asset management processes.
- Define master data requirements, governance frameworks, and onboarding strategies.
- Ensure solution scalability and reusability across multiple business units and contracts.
- Collaborate with SAP architects, consultants, technical teams, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide architectural guidance across SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), Customer Service (CS), Enterprise Service Management (ESM), and Service Cloud solutions.
- Facilitate solution design workshops and architecture governance activities.
- Review and validate solution designs, process documentation, technical specifications, and functional requirements.
- Ensure integration across SAP EAM, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other enterprise systems.
- Identify opportunities for process standardisation, automation, and adoption of SAP best practices.
- Support implementation planning, testing, deployment, and transition-to-support activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance for data migration, master data conversion, and onboarding strategies.
- Assess project risks, dependencies, and implementation impacts across business and technology domains.
- Develop architecture documentation, standards, implementation frameworks, and knowledge transfer materials.

The Successful Candidate:

- Extensive experience designing and implementing SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions.
- Solid expertise in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)



and Enterprise Asset Management business processes.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP Customer Service (CS), SAP Enterprise Service Management (ESM), and/or SAP Service Cloud.
- Proven track record leading SAP transformation, assessment, and solution architecture initiatives.
- Strong understanding of service management, work management, and asset-intensive industry operations.
- Demonstrated experience conducting business process analysis, fit-gap assessments, and solution design activities.
- Strong knowledge of SAP master data design, governance, and migration strategies.
- Experience planning and delivering enterprise migration and implementation roadmaps.
- Understanding of SAP integration across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and related SAP modules.
- Experience working with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and cross-functional project teams.
- Ability to develop architecture documentation, functional specifications, solution designs, and implementation plans.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of Maximo work management solutions and associated data models is highly desirable.
- Previous experience supporting large-scale SAP implementations within asset-intensive organisations will be highly regarded.

Location and Contract Term This role is based in Sydney, NSW or Melbourne, VIC.

Initial contract through to January 2027 with potential extension opportunities.
