We're looking for a Full-Time Early Childhood Teacher / Team Leader who thrives in a collaborative, child-centred preschool environment and takes pride in empowering educators, strengthening practice and helping children and families thrive. This is a Permanent Full-Time role working – Monday to Friday. The preschool operates from 8.00am-4.00pm during school terms and provide a high-quality inclusive early childhood program catering for the individual needs of all children from 3 to 6 years and their families. All education staff are required to be available between 7:50am-4:30pm to cover all rostered shifts.

Reporting to the Head of Early Education, this position guides the preschool's vision, culture and daily operations, directly leads Early Childhood Educators and works closely with the Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor. As a member of the Preschool Leadership Team and broader Organisational Leadership Team, you will influence service quality, team capability and exceptional outcomes for children and families.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

Success in this role will be measured through outcomes, collaboration, service quality and contribution to team goals. In this role, you will:

Leadership, Team Culture and Educational Practice

- Inspire a collaborative, high-performing team culture and conduct a minimum of two 1:1 meetings per term with each team member to support wellbeing, reflection and goal achievement.
- Coach and mentor educators,



provide structured induction support for new staff and students, and facilitate reflective discussions, team meetings and communities of practice.
- Collaborate with the Educational Leader to deliver a responsive, culturally rich and evidence-informed program; develop and review Individual Learning Plans; and embed intentional teaching, sustainability, innovation and child agency in daily practice.

Quality, Child Safety and Compliance

- Lead consistent and effective daily routines, staffing ratios, supervision, documentation and hazard management so children and staff experience a safe, engaging and well-maintained learning environment.
- Act as the Responsible Person as required and ensure practice aligns with organisational policies, the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Framework, child protection, health and hygiene, emergency management, risk minimisation and WHS requirements.
- Drive the Quality Improvement Plan and self-assessment process, support the service to exceed the National Quality Standard across all seven quality areas, maintain zero major compliance breaches and complete compliance requirements within agreed timeframes.

Team and Operational Contribution

- Build trusting partnerships with families that honour their expertise, cultural identity and aspirations, and incorporate their contributions into educational program and curriculum planning.
- Maintain meaningful communication, contribute to family satisfaction of 80% or higher, keep complaints to a minimum and support prompt, respectful resolution.
- Create community networks, participate in at least two community or cross-organisational initiatives each year, represent the service with professionalism and warmth, and maintain 90% or higher attendance at scheduled leadership meetings with clear documentation.

About You

You will bring

- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent, such as a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or Diploma of Early Education and Care.
- Current accreditation as a Conditional, Provisional or Proficient Teacher with the NSW Education Standards Authority.
- Strong knowledge of current early education and care legislation and regulations, the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standard.
- Current ACECQA-approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma certificates, ACECQA-approved Child Protection training, and Child Safe Training from the Office of the Children's Guardian.
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearances.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and collaborate with educators, families, external professionals and colleagues across the organisation.
- Strong communication, organisation, time management, documentation and accountability, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- The ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including regular travel as required and safely lifting and carrying up to 10kg.
