Role Description The Early Childhood Teacher at Sparrow Early Learning in Sandstone Point, QLD is a full-time, on-site role responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality learning experiences for children in line with the Early Years Framework and Sparrow’s educational philosophy. Day-to-day tasks include designing age-appropriate curriculum, facilitating play-based learning, observing and documenting children’s progress, and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

The role involves building respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues,



maintaining a protected and inclusive classroom environment, and supporting children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development.

The Early Childhood

Teacher will collaborate with the center team, participate in qualified learning, contribute to center initiatives, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education and Child Development, with the ability to apply contemporary pedagogical approaches.
- Demonstrated Teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and reflective practice.
- Experience Working With Children in early learning environments, fostering secure, nurturing, and inclusive relationships.
- Ability in Curriculum Development, including creating and implementing play-based, inquiry-driven programs aligned with the Early Years Framework.
- Relevant early childhood teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent) and current registration or accreditation as required in QLD.
- Current Working With Children Check and knowledge of child safety and safeguarding practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with children, families, and colleagues in a diverse community.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and contributing positively to a supportive team culture.
