We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants – Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. We are a proud Independent Public School with a rich 49-year history of providing successful education.
We currently cater to 380 Kindergarten to Year 6 students taught by well-qualified, experienced and dedicated teachers working in partnership with parents to ensure the needs of every child are met. Our school offers specialist teaching programs in Music, Japanese, Science and Physical Education. Our students have access to a range of technologies, inclusive of desktop computers, laptops, iPads and robotics/coding equipment.

Find out more about our school by visiting westgreenwood.wa.edu.au or Schools Online The Role As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of planned education programs that will help in the development of young minds. In this role you should collaborate and work in a team environment.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and well-being of students.
They will ideally be organised and be able to use your initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment. Working under teacher direction in a diverse role, suitable applicants would also provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant with the health and safety of students being a high priority.

Eligibility To work with us, you must: be an Australian or New Zealand citizen,
permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
