Description

The Employment Retention Specialist is responsible for maximising sustainable employment outcomes by supporting participants and employers after placement. The role will focus on maximising successful outcome claims through gaining of evidence, delivering high-quality post-placement support and by providing accurate reports to assist with outcome forecasting.

Through strong relationships, proactive engagement and effective communication, the Employment Retention Specialist will contribute to improved participant success, stronger employer partnerships and increased Workforce Australia performance.

Skills And Experiences





Essential Experience

- Experience working in Employment Services, Workforce development, Community Services or a related sector.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with participants, employers and stakeholders to support sustainable employment outcomes.
- Strong mentoring, coaching and communication skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and support participants to overcome workplace challenges.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, implement practical solutions and support employment retention.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records that meet contractual and compliance requirements.
- Well-developed digital literacy, including experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Excel to manage participant information, monitor performance and support operational reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously and take ownership of achieving performance outcomes.
- Experience in working with Participants to address barriers
- Must pass and have a current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
- Must pass and have a current Working with Children Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
- Driver's License

Desirable Experience

- Knowledge of Workforce Australia, Post Placement Support (PPS) requirements and employment outcome claiming processes.
- Experience collecting and verifying evidence to support government-funded employment program outcomes.
- Experience promoting and administering employer incentives, including wage subsidies and other employment supports.
- Experience conducting workplace visits and providing in-work support to participants and employers.
- Understanding of employment retention strategies and the barriers that may impact long-term employment success.
- Experience using data and performance reporting to identify trends, support forecasting and drive continuous improvement.
