We are seeking an experienced and passionate Program Manager to establish and lead an exciting recent Aboriginal Employment & Reintegration Program that supports Aboriginal people transitioning from custody into sustainable employment and long-term careers.

This is a rare opportunity to build a program from the ground up while making a genuine difference in people's lives.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chair and Board, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of this important Commonwealth-funded program.

You will work closely with Aboriginal participants, Corrective Services, employers, training organisations, government agencies and community partners to help participants successfully transition into employment and remain connected to long-term support.

You will also work alongside an experienced executive team that has successfully delivered similar employment programs for more than ten years.





A dedicated full-time Administration Officer will support the program, allowing you to focus on participant outcomes, stakeholder engagement and program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day management of the Aboriginal Employment & Reintegration Program.

- Build strong relationships with Corrective Services, Aboriginal organisations, employers and government agencies.

- Support Aboriginal participants from pre-release through to long-term employment.

- Develop employment pathways with industry.

- Coordinate mentors and support services.

- Manage program budgets and contractual compliance.

- Prepare monthly Board reports and funding reports.

- Monitor program outcomes and key performance indicators.

- Ensure compliance with Commonwealth funding requirements.

- Represent Blackroo professionally across government, community and industry.

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

- Experience managing government-funded programs or community projects.

- Strong leadership and organisational skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Experience managing budgets, reporting and compliance.

- The ability to lead a small team while working independently.

- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for Aboriginal people.

- Current unrestricted driver's licence.

- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).

- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

Experience working within employment services, Aboriginal organisations, justice,



Corrective Services, training or community services will be highly regarded.
