At Gallagher Bassett, we're seeking motivated, customer-focused professionals to join our Sydney Workers Compensation team as a New to Scheme Case Manager. No prior workers compensation experience is required. If you have experience in customer service, insurance, healthcare, rehabilitation, claims, administration, employment services, or another people-focused profession, we'll provide the training, support, and career pathways to help you succeed.
This is an exciting opportunity to build a long-term career within a global organisation while helping injured workers navigate their recovery and return-to-work journey. How you'll make an impact As a New to Scheme Case Manager, you'll manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims and support injured workers, employers, healthcare providers and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
Your responsibilities will include
Managing workers compensation claims in line with legislative and compliance requirements
Supporting injured workers through their recovery and return-to-work journey
Building strong relationships with employers, workers and treatment providers
Gathering information, reviewing documentation and making informed decisions
Identifying barriers to recovery and coordinating appropriate support services
Maintaining accurate claim records and documentation
Delivering outstanding customer service while balancing quality and productivity outcomes About you What We're Looking For
We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds who are passionate about helping people and delivering excellent customer experiences.
You may bring experience from:
Customer service or contact centre environments
Healthcare, nursing or allied health
Rehabilitation or return-to-work services
Claims or insurance
Employment services
Financial services
Case management or support coordination
Hospitality, retail or other customer-facing industries
Most importantly, you'll have:
Strong communication and relationship-building skills The ability to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Resilience and a proactive approach to learning
Strong organisational and time management abilities A genuine desire to help people achieve positive outcomes
