Savannah Goldfields Limited is a dynamic and growing gold mining company operating the Georgetown Gold Project and Agate Creek Gold Mine in Queensland. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Environmental Advisor to join our site-based environmental team. In this role, you will take a leading hand in driving environmental compliance, performance improvement, and best-practice environmental management across our operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the implementation and continuous improvement of site Environmental Management Plans and compliance systems
- Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, approvals, and licence conditions, including regulatory reporting
- Identifying environmental risks,
auditing, monitoring and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Supervising and mentoring the Graduate Advisor
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline and minimum 3 years' experience in the mining or resources sector
- Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation, including the Environmental Protection Act 1994 and associated frameworks
- Experience with rehabilitation and / or closure planning is highly regarded
- Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills
