Interested in joining as a Team Member in Production, Crop Care or Nursery? This is what you will be doing and delivering

Production

As a team member in Production, your tasks may include:

- Picking: Harvesting produce in line with colour and quality standards
- Packing: Preparing and packing produce to meet customer specifications
- General additional tasks: May include cleaning, machinery operation, and more

Crop Care

As a team member in Crop Care, your tasks may include:

- Lateral Pruning: Removing side shoots (lateral growth) from the main plant stem to support healthy development.
- Metal Clipping: Attaching the plant to support strings using a clipping tool to help it grow upright.
- Truss Pruning: Pruning each truss to a specific number of fruits or for uniformity, ensuring better fruit size and quality.
- Layering:



Gently lowering plants along their support lines to maintain even crop height and ensure fruit remains within reach for pickers.
- Pollination: Using a leaf blower to move pollen within the flowers and assist in natural pollination.
- De-leafing: Removing selected leaves based on instructions to expose the picking truss and improve airflow around the plant.
- Crop Changeover: Assisting with the annual crop transition, including removal of old plants, thorough cleaning of the glasshouse, and replanting.
- Other Duties: May include setting up arch supports, identifying pests or diseases, and reporting any issues.

Nursery

As a team member in Nursery, your tasks may include:

- Grafting: Joining two plant varieties together to create a stronger, higher-performing plant.
- Pinching: Removing the growing tip from the seedling to encourage new growth.
- Block-On: Transplanting seedlings into a new growing medium to support continued growth.
- Leaf Pruning: Removing selected leaves to promote uniformity and balanced plant growth.
- Staking: Inserting stakes into the growing medium to support plant structure.
- Clipping: Securing the plant to the stake using clips to help it grow upright and maintain structure.
- Pack Up: Carefully packing seedlings onto trolleys for transport to other areas of the glasshouse.
- Other Duties: May include cleaning, machinery use, identifying pests or diseases, and other ah-hoc tasks.
