Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Pinkenba, QLD. The Estimator is responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair quotes, and ensuring estimates align with industry standards and insurer requirements. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles, reviewing images and repair documentation, determining parts and labor needs, and entering detailed estimates into relevant systems.
The role also involves communicating with customers, repair technicians, and insurance representatives to clarify repair scope, timelines, and costs, while supporting a smooth workflow in the repair facility.
The Estimator helps ensure that repairs are completed to high safety and quality standards, while maintaining efficient turnaround times and strong customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Ability to accurately assess vehicle damage, interpret repair methods, and prepare detailed cost estimates using estimating software and tools.
Robust communication and customer service skills to discuss repair work and costs with customers, insurers, and workshop team members in a clear and professional manner.
Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple estimates, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and analytical skills to verify parts, labor, and materials, and to ensure compliance with safety standards and insurer or manufacturer guidelines.
Experience in automotive repair, panel beating, or estimating within the motor vehicle repair industry is highly beneficial.
Comfort with digital tools and basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and use of estimating or management systems.
Commitment to high quality, safety-focused repairs and ongoing learning about vehicle technology and repair techniques.
Relevant trade qualification, estimating certification, or industry experience in automotive repair or collision estimating preferred.
