About the Opportunity

- Review tender documentation and develop a transparent understanding of client requirements
- Prepare first-principle cost estimates and technical proposals for tenders and submissions
- Conduct tender clarifications and risk analysis at pre-tender stage
- Ensure estimates align with client specifications and company processes
- Apply current market pricing, techniques and cost trends to keep estimates competitive and realistic
- Plan and prioritise workload to meet tender deadlines
- Lead the internal review and sign-off process with senior management
- Drive tender submissions, coordinating input across the team
- Lead handover from estimating to operations post-award, covering budget, schedule and identified risks

Role Requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or equivalent experience.




- 5-10 years’ experience in an SMP estimating role on the Contractor side within the construction industry (pricing projects up to $20M).
- Proven success pricing winning "first principle" bids as an Estimator for tenders for resources, energy and infrastructure sector projects in Australia.
- Proficiency in estimating and scheduling software (e.g. Excel, MS Project, HeavyBid, Candy, Expert Estimation, etc.)
- Experience with AutoCA D, Bluebeam, AGTEK or 12D software, On-Screen Takeoff (or similar) highly desirable.
