Role Description The Events and Awards Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Melbourne Area. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering Architecture Media’s awards programs and events, from initial concept through to post-event evaluation. Day-to-day activities include developing event timelines, managing stakeholder communications, overseeing venue and supplier relationships, and coordinating judging processes and entry workflows for awards programs.
The role also involves managing event budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining high-quality experiences for participants and audiences. The Events and Awards Project Manager collaborates closely with editorial, marketing, and partnerships teams to align event content with brand objectives and to ensure awards and events are well promoted, inclusive, and professionally executed.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess solid Event Planning and Event Management skills, including end-to-end delivery of conferences, awards programs, and other live or hybrid events.
Candidates should possess Budgeting and Budget Management skills to plan, track, and report on event and awards program finances.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for liaising with entrants, jurors, speakers, sponsors, venues, and internal stakeholders.
Candidates should ideally have experience in project management, stakeholder coordination, and timeline management within media, events, or related industries.
Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates would benefit from familiarity with the architecture, design, or built environment sectors, and proficiency with common office and event management software tools.
