Workshop Supervisor - Welding & Fabrication - Step Up to a Managerial Role.

Based in Balcatta, our client is a well-established, WA success story, with expertise in the design and management of technically complex engineering solutions. They are geared up for the continuing growth of their client base and projects under management, which means an exciting opportunity is available for an experienced WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR to join their team.

We think you’ll be pleased to become a key part of a growing team, within a company environment that experiences very low staff turnover due to the strength of their commercial relationships and the strong culture they have developed over the years.

This is a varied, challenging role and day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Providing Supervision and Management of all staff and workshop related works.
- Managing all incoming internal workshop fabrication and welding requests supporting our projects.
- Purchasing and maintaining all workshop related fabrication components and consumables.
- Implementing QA processes including NDT, inspections and ITPs, parent and consumable material certification, welding procedures and qualifications.
- Managing all workshop plastic and PE welding and associated fabrication and processes.




- Liaising with clients where required for inspections or similar.

To really excel in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate:

- 5 plus years in a similar workshop or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with, and understanding of Standards ISO9001, 14001 and 45001.
- Certificate 10 AS1796 / AS2214 Welding Supervisor, Internation Welding Supervisor or similar.
- NACE Basic coatings inspector (CIP Level 1) or similar.

These skills and experience will also be highly regarded:

- Plastic (HDPE) welding experience and knowledge. Previous or current PE welding qualification.
- High Risk Licences – Dogman/rigger, Non-slewing Mobile Crane, Forklift.
- Experience with Water Corporation / industry fabrication and construction.
- Previous experience estimating fabrication works in steel and/or plastic.
