About the chance

Wholesale Pool Shells is seeking an experienced Pool Estimator with strong industry knowledge and proven sales ability to join our team.

This is not a purely desk-based estimating role. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients develop the right pool solution, preparing accurate and detailed quotations, converting opportunities into projects, and ensuring each job is properly handed over to our construction and site teams.

You will need a practical understanding of swimming pool construction, including excavation, structural concrete pool shells, plumbing, filtration, finishes, access requirements, site conditions and the sequencing of pool construction works.

About the role

You will manage projects through the pre-construction process, from the initial enquiry and estimating stage through to contract preparation, internal handover, scheduling and commencement on site.

Your responsibilities will include

- Reviewing plans, specifications, engineering documentation and site information
- Preparing accurate estimates and detailed quotations for pool construction projects
- Identifying site-specific requirements, exclusions, risks and potential variations
- Communicating with clients to understand their requirements, budget and intended outcome




- Following up quotations and converting suitable opportunities into contracted projects
- Providing informed and practical advice about pool construction, equipment, finishes and project delivery
- Completing site inspections and client meetings where required
- Preparing clear scopes of work, inclusions, exclusions and construction allowances
- Coordinating contracts, selections, approvals and pre-construction documentation
- Conducting detailed internal handovers to project managers, supervisors and site teams
- Assisting with construction scheduling, programming and resource planning
- Coordinating with engineers, designers, certifiers, suppliers and subcontractors
- Maintaining accurate records within our estimating, CRM and project-management systems
- Monitoring project progress during the transition from sales into construction
- Ensuring the commitments made during the estimating and sales process can be delivered by the construction team

About you To be successful in this position, you will need:

- Demonstrated estimating experience within the swimming pool industry
- Strong knowledge of concrete pool construction and associated trades
- The ability to read and interpret architectural plans, engineering drawings and specifications
- A sound understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling and programming
- Strong sales, communication and client-management skills
- The confidence to follow up opportunities and guide clients through purchasing decisions
- The ability to prepare accurate,



detailed and commercially responsible quotations
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of construction risk
- Experience coordinating the handover of sold projects to construction teams
- High-level computer literacy
- Proficiency with estimating, CRM and project-management software
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to manage multiple estimates and projects at different stages
- A current drivers licence

Experience using platforms such as Wunderbuild, Buildxact, CostX, Cubit, HubSpot, Microsoft Project or similar systems will be highly regarded.

Industry experience

Applicants must have genuine experience within the swimming pool construction industry. While broader residential construction experience is valuable, this role requires someone who already understands the technical and practical requirements of quoting and delivering swimming pool projects.
