Your opportunity Dairy Australia is seeking a highly credible and relationship-focused Extension Advisor & Farm Engagement Lead to support dairy farmers across the South Coast and Hunter Valley regions of Southern NSW. This is a field-based role for someone who understands dairy farming systems and enjoys working directly with farmers to drive positive on-farm change. You will build trusted relationships with dairy farmers, identify opportunities and challenges within the region, facilitate extension activities and support the adoption of practices that improve productivity, profitability and sustainability.

Success in this role will come from your ability to combine technical knowledge with strong relationship management skills, helping farmers navigate decisions, access support and implement meaningful change within their businesses. Regular travel is an essential part of the role, with significant time spent visiting farms and engaging with farmers across the South coast and Hunter regions. This role is ideally suited to someone living in, or willing to relocate to, the South Coast of NSW.

Key Responsibilities Develop strong relationships with dairy farmers, advisers and industry stakeholders,



positioning yourself as a trusted and credible connection between farmers and Dairy Australia. Support farmers to identify opportunities, overcome challenges and adopt practices that improve farm performance, sustainability and business outcomes. Plan, coordinate and facilitate extension activities including workshops, discussion groups, field days and other farmer engagement initiatives that deliver measurable impact.

Bring the voice of farmers into Dairy Australia by identifying emerging trends, opportunities and challenges, helping shape regional priorities and future industry initiatives.

About You

You are someone who earns trust quickly, understands the realities of dairy farming and is passionate about helping farmers achieve practical outcomes.

You Bring

Strong relationship management skills and the ability to build credibility with farmers and industry stakeholders Knowledge of Australian dairy farming systems Demonstrated ability to influence behaviour change and support adoption of new practices on farm Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills The ability to work independently across a large geographic region A current driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southern NSW and Hunter dairy regions Highly Regarded Deep understanding of dairy farming practices and the Australian dairy industry Technical expertise in agronomy, pasture management, animal nutrition, animal health or farm systems Experience facilitating workshops, discussion groups,



training programs or extension activities Experience in dairy extension or agricultural extension Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms Experience in structured account management or stakeholder engagement Why Dairy Australia?
