As we continue to grow, we're looking for practical, reliable people to join our production team and help keep our manufacturing operation running efficiently.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting all areas of our manufacturing operation.
Depending on your skills, experience and the needs of the business, you may assist with fabrication, assembly, fit-out, forklift operation, logistics, production support and general workshop duties.
Some employees spend most of their time building trailers, while others also assist with keeping production organised, maintaining production systems and supporting day-to-day workshop operations.
You'll have the prospect to learn new skills, work across different areas of the business and continue developing over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with fabrication, assembly and trailer fit-out
- Operate hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
- Prepare materials and support fabrication teams
- Load, unload and move trailers and materials throughout the workshop and yard
- Operate forklifts where licensed
- Assist with workshop organisation, housekeeping and material flow
- Follow job cards, work instructions and production processes
- Support production activities to help keep work flowing efficiently
- Assist with production records, systems and operational support activities where required
- Identify and action day-to-day improvements that help keep the workshop organised and productive
What We're Looking For
We're looking for practical people who enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in getting the job done properly.
You'll ideally have experience working in manufacturing, fabrication, production, logistics or a workshop environment.
You'll also have
- A practical, hands-on attitude
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Physically fit and willing to work across different areas of the workshop
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Highly Regarded
- Forklift licence
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Experience using production or inventory systems
- Confidence using computers, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Don't worry if you don't have every skill listed above. We're looking for someone with the right attitude and relevant workshop or manufacturing experience. We'll train the right person in our systems, processes and products.
