Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio, Bale Defence is seeking a Fabricator to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing Australian manufacturer where your work directly contributes to the production of innovative defence and maritime products.

Position Overview

Our Fabricators play a key role in the manufacture and assembly of high-quality defence and maritime products. Working closely with engineers, production personnel and project stakeholders, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, fabricating components, assembling products, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

This role is ideal for a hands-on tradesperson who enjoys precision fabrication, problem-solving, and working collaboratively.

Key Accountabilities

- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, fabrication plans and technical specifications.

- Measure, mark out, cut, drill, shape and assemble components to required tolerances and quality standards.

- Perform bending, welding,



grinding and finishing activities as required to complete manufacturing tasks.

- Participate in prototype builds, product testing and production improvement activities.

- Conduct quality inspections and checks to ensure finished products meet specifications and company standards.

- Promote a culture of quality, safety and attention to detail across all aspects of work.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

- Trade qualification in Fabrication, Boilermaking or equivalent.

- Construction industry white card.

- Experienced in TIG/MIG/MMA (Stick) Welding

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
