Supervise and Assist in Production, Warehouse & Dispatch Operations for a National Industry Leader

About the Role

Based in Preston, this is a hands-on leadership position reporting directly to the Production Manager.

This role is predominantly working on the tools as part of our high performing team in addition to providing immediate floor leadership and operational support for the Production Manager.

You will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with the daily activities of the production, warehouse, QA and dispatch teams on the floor, ensuring customer orders are manufactured, assembled, quality checked and dispatched accurately and on time. You'll lead from the front, provide direction to the team, maintain high safety standards and ensure operational efficiency across the site.

This hands-on role would suit an experienced Production Team Leader or Leading Hand who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems, supporting their team and driving outcomes. It won't suit anyone wishing to sit in an office all day and supervise others.





Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Lead, assist and supervise production, dispatch and warehouse staff
- Allocate labour and manage daily workflow priorities
- Coordinate picking, packing, QA and dispatch activities
- Coordinate, assist and supervise manufacturing and assembly operations
- Read and interpret job sheets, plans and customer specifications
- Assist with production scheduling and ensure deadlines are achieved
- Maintain stock accuracy and warehouse organisation
- Coordinate and assist with freight bookings and dispatch requirements
- Operate production and warehouse equipment and support production, warehouse and dispatch activities
- Ensure that all product is of the highest quality and adhere to our World Class QA standards
- Drive accountability, quality standards and team performance
- Promote a safe, organised and efficient workplace
- Liaise with Customer Service, Site Coordinators and the Production Manager to keep projects moving smoothly.

What You'll Bring

- Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Team Leader or similar leadership role
- Strong production, manufacturing or warehouse experience
- Demonstrated experience in production scheduling
- Forklift Licence (Essential)




- Robust leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret measurements, plans and production specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience with Simpro or similar ERP systems highly regarded
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
