Traffic Engineer (Full time) Traverse Transport — Fitzroy, VIC

Traverse Transport is a growing traffic engineering consultancy based in Fitzroy, providing traffic impact assessments, car parking assessments, waste management plans, swept path analysis and expert evidence services to developers, planners and legal teams across Australia. The Role

We're seeking a Traffic Engineer with up to five years' experience to support the delivery of traffic engineering assessments and technical advice across a range of projects, from residential and commercial developments through to industrial and mixed-use precincts. You'll work closely with our Director across the full project lifecycle, from project feasibility assessments through to VCAT hearings, gaining broad exposure to all facets of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare Traffic Impact Assessments and Car Parking Assessments
- Undertake swept path assessments using AutoCAD and vehicle tracking software packages




- Review development plans against relevant planning schemes and Australian Standards (AS2890 series)
- Assist in preparing waste management plans
- Undertake site visits to assess existing conditions and inform project assessments
- Liaise with clients, councils and other consultants

About You

- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transport Engineering (or equivalent) — required
- Up to five years' experience in traffic engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with vehicle tracking software (AutoTurn or equivalent) essential
- Experience with SIDRA highly regarded
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Current Australian driver's licence — mandatory
- Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia — please note your current visa status or citizenship in your application
