The Opportunity
Be the welcoming face of Kambu Health’s Family Wellbeing Service and play an important role in supporting children, families, and the community.
As the Family Wellbeing Services Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of family support services. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming, culturally safe, and professional environment for clients while supporting the team with referrals, client records, reporting, and day-to-day administration.
Working closely with the Team Leader and Family Wellbeing Services team, you will help ensure families receive timely access to support and services that strengthen wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming and culturally respectful first point of contact for clients, families, and visitors.
- Manage reception duties, phone enquiries, messages, and general client enquiries.
- Support client intake processes, referrals, appointments, and service coordination.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic client records and databases.
- Assist with reporting, documentation, correspondence, and general administrative tasks.
- Support the Family Wellbeing Services team with day-to-day operational requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with organisational policies, procedures, and child safety requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities to enhance service delivery.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in an administration role, preferably within health, community services, or family support environments.
- Understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, communities, and the importance of culturally safe service delivery.
- Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and compassionate approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information appropriately.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and electronic record management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Driver’s Licence (mandatory).
- Valid Blue Card / Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory).
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory).
- Immunisation: Hepatitis B (mandatory).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain (mandatory).
