MateCare is seeking motivated female support staff to join our team!

Availability Requirements:

MateCare provides 24-hour support across multiple clients. A successful applicant will have availability across all 7 days of the week, including public holidays. Availability to work overnights, both sleepover and active, is essential.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Assisting with personal care
- Light domestic support and household tasks
- Assistance with or full preparation of meals

- Support with assistive technology
- Assisting clients to access the community

- Providing general emotional support

- Providing 1:1 support
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients at all times
- Restrictive practice reporting

The successful candidate will have:

- Awareness and understanding when working with clients with potential behaviours of concern




- The ability to develop solid relationships with clients
- Good multitasking and teamwork skills
- A friendly, positive attitude and sense of humour
- Patience and empathy
- Sound literacy skills and an ability to provide clear and detailed shift notes and reports

Mandatory Requirements:

- Currently residing in Broken Hill NSW
- Current First Aid Level 2 Certificate

- Current CPR (annual)

- National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain
- NDIS Worker Clearance - must be held at the time of application
- Current Driver's Licence - provisional driver's licence as minimum requirement
- Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance, or willingness to obtain
- Valid work in Australia rights
