We have an opportunity for a bubbly, vibrant female Support Worker near the Cecil Hills region to support a 10-year-old energetic boy who requires ventilatory support with a tracheostomy.

This role involves assisting with daily activities, whilst maintaining a secure environment. Given the specialised nature of the role, complex care support and challenging behaviour experience is required. Tracheostomy and Ventilation experience would be advantageous. Training will be provided, including buddy shifts to facilitate a smooth transition.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide hands-on support and care Assist with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, and medication administration)

· Tracheostomy care and suctioning

· Administer PEG feeding

· Monitor and manage ventilatory support equipment and ensure proper functioning.

· Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and the client's family to deliver holistic care.

Current Shift Hours Are:

Monday to Saturday - 8am - 4pm, 4pm - 8pm,



8pm - 8am (Active overnights)

Sunday - 8am - 2pm, 2pm - 8pm, 8pm - 8am (Active overnights)

We are looking for people to work across the above shifts. This role is NOT suitable for Students due to placement commitments.

Requirements:

· Driver’s Licence with vehicle

· Experience in Disability Support, preferably with paediatric clients

· Current First Aid & CPR

· Certificate NDIS Workers Screening Check / Module

· Working with Children Clearance

· Police Check

· Fluency in English

· Full workers rights to work in Australia (no student visas please)

Desirable:

Ventilator support systems and Tracheostomy care desirable but training can be provided for right candidate
